There's one book in the Bible that never says God's name. Not once. Ten chapters, a king, a plot to wipe out a whole people, and God doesn't show up on a single page. Nobody prays out loud. Nobody gets a vision. Nobody hears a voice telling them how it's going to turn out.

Sounds a lot like real life, honestly.

Esther is a story about ordinary people making hard calls in a season where nothing is guaranteed and nobody is explaining anything. A girl with no power gets put somewhere she didn't ask to be. A man refuses to bow and it costs everybody. A king can't sleep one night and the whole thing turns. None of it looks like God while it's happening. All of it was.

Over eight weeks we're going to walk through it slow, and we're going to ask the question out loud that most of us have already asked quietly. Is this really the plan? Is God actually doing something here, or are we just hoping He is?

Esther doesn't answer that with a sermon. It answers it with a story, and it makes you wait for it, same as they had to.
